An eSafeT User represents a person that can log into the eSafeT system. Depending on the roles assigned to the User, he or she may be able to create companies, other users, projects and safety documentation.
An eSafeT User logs into the system using a user name and password. The user name is also the email of the person it represents and all correspondence with the user is sent to this email address.
The system generates the original password for a User and mails it to the email address that is also the user name. Each person registered as a User is responsible for the safe-keeping of his or her password and is not allowed to share the them with another person. Each action in the system is logged against the use performing the action so in the event of incorrect system behaviour, the eSafeT technical team can trace the actions and either fix the bug in the system or educate the relevant user so as to prevent the problem from reoccurring.
A User can change his or her password by clicking on the Change Password link at the top right hand of all pages. See here.
In fact, it is a good practice for a user to change his or her password at least once to replace the password originally generated by the eSafeT system.
Another good practice is to make sure that each Client or Contractor type Company has at least one User with a designation containing the phrases "CEO", "Managing Member" or "Sole Proprietor' (case ignored) as the details of such a User will be used to populate the 16(1) details of a new project.
