An eSafeT Company represents a physical or legal entity like a company or person that uses the eSafeT system to generate safety documentation. A Company can be one of three types depending on the role or function of the company with respect to the construction project(s) that the documentation is intended for.
In order to use the eSafeT system to generate safety files, a company or person must be registered as an eSafeT Company.
Third party companies i.e. companies and individuals involved in an eSafeT construction project but not necessarily using eSafeT as their document generator, are referred to as Contributor's and are created per project as the need arises.
An H&S Practitioner type Company is a company or person that provides Health and Safety services to companies involved in construction projects whether the company is the client commissioning the project or one of the contractors providing construction services for the project.
A H&S Practitioner type company cannot own projects in the system directly but creates Client or Contractor type companies and then subsequently creates projects for those companies.
An Client type Company represents a company or person that needs to commission and ultimately pay for one or more construction projects and will therefore need safety specification(s) for the construction projects.
A Contractor type Company represents a company or person that will be involved in one or more construction projects as either a principal contractor or a subcontractor. Contractors will need safety files for construction projects.
