The Contributor page provides the logged-in user with the data fields to view or update the details of a Contributor. If the details are to be viewed only, the fields are read only i.e. not editable. The fields are editable however if they are to be modified by the logged-in user for example on creating a new Contributor or editing an existing Contributor.
When editable, fields with an asterisk (*) behind the field name are required fields and may not be left blank. Some fields are not visible or editable available depending on the Contributor Type. Most of the fields may be left blank if the Contributor Type allows the information to be completed by hand after printing.
The Contributor Type field is available on creating a new Contributor and on editing a Contributor that was not auto-created by the system with very few exceptions. When available it is a required field and a value must therefore be selected.

If the desired type of company is not available in the Contributor Type drop down list, the logged-in user can select the Custom option from the Contributor Type drop down list. The Custom Type field will be displayed.
The field is required while the Custom option is selected in the Contributor Type drop down list and the logged-in user must complete it with a company type of his choice.
The field is available for user created Contributors only and not those auto-created by the system. Select this option if the details of the company will not be available at the time of generating the Specification or Safety File. The documents will be generated with open spaces where the details of the company are supposed go to allow the values to be filled in by hand after the files have been printed.
The Company field is required unless the By Hand check box is selected. It is not available for editing for some of the auto-generated Contributors but is otherwise required and must therefore be completed with the official name of the company. The value is used verbatim in the safety documentation.
The Contact field should be completed with the name and surname of the contact person for the company. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data is used verbatim in the safety documentation.
The Address field should be populated with the legal address of the company. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data is used verbatim in the safety documentation.
The Postal Code field should be populated with the postal code of the company. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data is used verbatim in the safety documentation.
The Telephone field should be populated with the official telephone number of the company. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data is used verbatim in the safety documentation.
The Cell Phone field should be populated with the official cell phone number of the Contributor. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data is used verbatim in the safety documentation.
The Fax field should be populated with the official fax number of the Contributor. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data is used verbatim in the safety documentation.
The Email field should be populated with the official email address of the Contributor. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data is used verbatim in the safety documentation.
Clicking the Done button saves the changes made by the logged-in user. The Cancel button cancels the action and does not save any changes.
