The User page provides the logged-in user with the data fields to view or update the details of a User. If the details are to be viewed only, the fields are read only i.e. not editable. The fields are editable however if they are to be modified by the logged-in user for example on creating a new User or editing an existing User.
When editable, fields with an asterisk (*) behind the field name are required fields and may not be left blank. Some fields are not available depending on whether the details are being viewed or edited or the User is being created.
The User Name field is only available on creating a new User in which case it is required and must therefore be completed.
A valid, active email address of the person to be created must be entered in the field. This email address will also serve as the username of the User and all eSafeT communications will be sent to this email address.
The first communication with the newly created User will be the "Intro" email containing the system generated password which will be sent on creating the User. The email will also include the name and surname of the logged-in user who registered the new User. The User cannot log in without this password.
User names and therefore email addresses are unique in the system so one email address cannot be used more than once.
Once created, the User Name cannot be changed so please double check the name for correctness, including spelling, before proceeding. In the event that a user was created with an incorrect name, the easiest way to remedy the problem is to Delete the incorrect user and recreate it correctly.
If a user has been using the system for a while and then has to change his email address and therefore his User Name, the eSafeT technical team can do so on his behalf.
The Designation field is used to assign a designation to a user.
Using the correct designation is important for subsequent ease-of-use of the system as eSafeT will use the designation to determine whether to use the detail of a User to populate the relevant data fields for new projects. The details of Users of a Client or Contractor type Company containing the phrases "CEO", "Managing Member" or "Sole Proprietor" (case ignored) in the Designation field will be used to populate the 16(1) details of a new project.
The Name field should be populated with the legal first name of the user. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data may be used to pre-populate new project fields if applicable. Correct and complete data in this field reduces effort and minimises typing mistakes when creating new projects.
The Surname field should be populated with the legal surname of the user. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data may be used to pre-populate new project fields if applicable. Correct and complete data in this field reduces effort and minimises typing mistakes when creating new projects.
The Telephone field should be populated with the official telephone number of the user. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data may be used to pre-populate new project fields if applicable. Correct and complete data in this field reduces effort and minimises typing mistakes when creating new projects.
The Cell Phone field should be populated with the official cell phone number of the user. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data may be used to pre-populate new project fields if applicable. Correct and complete data in this field reduces effort and minimises typing mistakes when creating new projects.
The Fax field should be populated with the official fax number of the user. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data may be used to pre-populate new project fields if applicable. Correct and complete data in this field reduces effort and minimises typing mistakes when creating new projects.
The Email field should be populated with the official email address of the user. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data may be used to pre-populate new project fields if applicable. Correct and complete data in this field reduces effort and minimises typing mistakes when creating new projects.
The Address field should be populated with the legal address of the user. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data may be used to pre-populate new project fields if applicable. Correct and complete data in this field reduces effort and minimises typing mistakes when creating new projects.
The Postal Code field should be populated with the postal code of the user. The field is optional but should be completed if possible as the data may be used to pre-populate new project fields if applicable. Correct and complete data in this field reduces effort and minimises typing mistakes when creating new projects.
Clicking the Done button saves the changes made by the logged-in user. The Cancel button cancels the action and does not save any changes.
