eSafeT is a online application providing the South African construction sector with quality Occupational Health and Safety Documentation.
It produces high quality standardized documentation, customised for each construction project based on its unique details, constraints and risk profile.
Whether you are a Client, Principal Contractor, Subcontractor, Contracting Tradesman or a Health and Safety Practitioner involved in one or more construction projects, chances are that you have a legal responsibility in terms of Health and Safety documentation. If you need a Covid-19 Plan, Health and Safety Specifications or Health and Safety Plans, eSafeT can produce your documentation consistently, accurately and in record time.
eSafeT produces 3 types of documentation sets:
The Covid-19 Plan documents are produced per Client and simply reproduced using the site specific information for each construction project. The set is purchased once per construction company, for the first project and is reproduced free of charge for each subsequent project of the same client.
All documents are customised based on the project's risk profile and the site specific details. Each Specification document set is licensed and purchased per client per construction project.
This is potentially a very comprehensive set of documentation. Only the documents and sections within documents pertaining to the project in question and based on the project's risk profile, are produced and customised using the site specific details. Each Health & Safety File document set is licensed and purchased per construction project.
Health and Safety Practitioners register on the system and then create Clients and/or Contractors as needed. Once created, Covid-19 Plans can be created for Clients or Contractors, Specifications for Clients and Health & Safety Files for Contractors.
Clients register on the system and then create Covid-19 Plans and Specifications for Projects.
Principal Contractors, Contractors and Subcontractors register on the system and then create Covid-19 Plans and Health & Safety Files for Projects.
Documentation is generated on a per-Project basis. So in order to generate a Specification, the target Project is created for a Client in the system. The detail for the Project is then populated, the risks identified and, depending on the type of risk assessment selected, assessed.
Likewise, to generate a Health & Safety File, the target Project is created for a Contractor in the system. The detail for the Project is then populated, the risks identified and, depending on the type of risk assessment selected, assessed.
The system allows users to save Projects with incomplete and incorrect information. The reason for this is that users often starts populating the information for Projects and then discover that they don't have all the information at hand halfway through the process. The system allows them to save what information is available and then edit the Project repeatedly until they are satisfied that they have entered all the relevant data.
In addition, the system requires some information in order to produce the documentation. An example of required information is the name of the Project which is used throughout the documentation sets and the system will not generate the documentation unless the Project name is provided.
The system indicates information that is required but not provided and provides quick access links to incomplete data fields, if any, from the Print page. In addition, it indicates information that is not required but that should ideally be provided, including the links to the relevant data fields from the Print page.
Once all required fields are populated, the document set can be printed and downloaded.
Before a document set can be printed, it must be purchased via the online payment gateway PayFast. Specifications and Health & Safety Files are paid for per Project and Covid-19 Plans per Company.
Once a Specification or Health & Safety File documentation set has been paid for, it can be downloaded. As a rule, the documentation cannot be updated or changed after purchase. In the event of incorrect information finding its way into a documentation set by mistake, the Project can be unlocked by the eSafeT administrator (free of charge).
Once a Client or a Contractor has purchased a Covid-19 plan, they can create plans for multiple Projects without any additional costs.
